As the Director of Catering Sales, you will play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth and expanding our business. You will lead our sales team in identifying opportunities, cultivating relationships, and closing deals with corporate clients, event planners, venues, and individuals seeking premium catering services. This position requires a dynamic individual with a proven track record in catering sales leadership, a deep understanding of the hospitality industry, and a passion for delivering unparalleled dining experiences. We need someone who can come up with creative ideas to land and execute a range of events, from long-term planning to a 500-person pop-up.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets and drive business growth.
  • Lead and mentor a team of catering sales professionals, providing guidance, support, and motivation to maximize performance.
  • Build and nurture relationships with key clients, industry partners, and vendors to enhance our brand presence and market positioning.
  • Collaborate closely with the culinary team to customize menus and offerings that meet the unique needs and preferences of clients.
  • Oversee the end-to-end sales process, from prospecting and lead generation to contract negotiation and event execution.
  • Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement.
  • Represent us at industry events, trade shows, and networking functions to promote our services and generate leads.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Hospitality Management preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience in catering sales, with a proven track record of exceeding targets and driving revenue growth.
  • Previous experience in a leadership or management role, with demonstrated ability to inspire and develop a high-performing team.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with clients, colleagues, and industry partners.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Deep knowledge of the hospitality industry, including current trends, best practices, and regulations.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
