The Kensington Hotel is looking for a Sales Coordinator to assist our Sales and Marketing department. The schedule is Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm, with evening and weekends as needed. We offer a competitive benefits package including a generous 401k match and Paid Time Off. The successful candidate will:

Provide clerical support for the Sales & Catering Department

  • Answer phones
  • Respond to Inquiry requests
  • Meet with prospective clients; conduct site tours
  • Serve as primary point of contact between Sales and Operations; maintain clear communication
  • Monitor, maintain and order office supplies
  • Establish and maintain filing system procedures and prepare new client files.
  • Calculate & distribute monthly departmental sales productivity using ESP Database and an Excel spreadsheet

Assist with coordination of Banquet events

  • Coordinate rehearsals, ceremonies and events on Thursday, Friday Saturday (sporadically)
  • Attend occasional off-site functions (i.e. Bridal Show)
  • Assist managers in calling clients and vendors to coordinate arrangements for functions
  • Plan small pop up events from start to finish



Requirements:

Ability to satisfactorily communicate in English with guests, co-workers, and management to their understanding.

Ability to input and access data in a personal computer. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Publisher.

Ability to create marketing materials specific to the prospect.

Ability to promote positive relations with all telephone callers, office visitors and guest inquiries.

Ability to focus attention on details, be well organized and follow up.

Ability to maintain confidentiality of guest information and designated hotel data.

Ability to work with minimal supervision.

Ability to remain in an office environment for extended periods of time.
