Community School of Naples (CSN) is seeking a Cleaning Supervisor to begin in summer 2024. This full time year-round position will report to Facilities Manager and will work between the hours of 11 am and 7:30 pm.

This role is responsible for overseeing and managing the day-to-day operation of the cleaning team and ensuring work areas are clean. They are the main point of contact for 3-10 cleaning crew members during their shift and are expected to assist with cleaning or covering a shift, as needed. “A hands-on” approach to the team and job duties are required.

CSN is one of the top independent, non-sectarian day schools in Florida and maintains a PK-12 school enrollment of over 1000 students. CSN students are consistently top-ranked compared to all other Southwest Florida schools when it comes to test scores, extracurricular activities, and college acceptances. This high level of performance extends beyond the classroom to all extracurricular activities.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1-3 years of previous experience with cleaning/ housekeeping supervision including prior efficient and effective training of employees and developing cleaning plans and workflows; establishing and enforcing safety rules; familiarity with various cleaning equipment and supplies; understanding cleaning procedures and protocols.
  • Ability to read, write and speak English fluently. Spanish proficiency is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Meticulous approach to job duties and ability to train other employees on the same.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment ensuring standards are met within deadlines.

Physical Demands/ Ability to:

  • Lift/ carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Pull, push, crawl, stoop, climb stairs and ladders, reach with arms.
  • Periodically walk short distances from building to building being exposed to outdoor weather conditions.
  • Withstand a moderate noise level in the work environment.
  • Detect and exchange accurate information.
  • Have close visual acuity to perform essential functions of the job.

The appointment is for a full-time, year-round position paid on an hourly basis, commensurate with experience and other qualifications.
