General Responsibilities:
The Fitness Club Operations Supervisor is tasked with overseeing daily club operations to ensure a top-notch member experience while maintaining financial success. This role involves leading a team of employees in a positive and motivating manner, focusing on results and quality service.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Engage in all front desk operations, including:
  • Welcoming members, potential members, and guests with outstanding customer service.
  • Managing front desk tasks such as:
  • Answering phone inquiries in a friendly manner.
  • Checking members into the system.
  • Conducting facility tours for prospective members.
  • Facilitating new member sign-ups.
  • Ensuring cleanliness and functionality of gym equipment.
  • Updating member accounts as necessary.
  • Addressing member inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.

•Staff Management:
  • Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing team of Front Desk Associates and Fitness Trainers.
  • Foster a welcoming atmosphere for all members and ensure staff adheres to exceptional customer service standards.
  • Ensure adequate staffing for all shifts.
  • Lead by example, maintaining accountability for team performance through training and coaching.
  • Resolve employee issues and concerns effectively.
  • Oversee cash handling and deposit procedures.

•Facility Maintenance:
  • Supervise the cleanliness and upkeep of the facility, taking responsibility for daily cleaning tasks.
  • Ensure compliance with cleaning protocols and maintain daily logs.
  • Guarantee the safety of employees, members, and club property.
  • Communicate necessary equipment repairs in a timely manner.
Qualifications/Requirements
  • Minimum of 1 year of supervisory or managerial experience in a high-volume restaurant or retail setting, or 2 years of experience with Planet Fitness preferred.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Willingness to travel to other locations as needed.
  • Current CPR Certification required or willingness to obtain upon hire.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to communicate effectively, sit, stand, and use hands for various tasks. Frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds and occasional lifting of up to 75 pounds may be required.
