Job Title: Health Communications/Training Specialist

Job Description:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Health Communications/Training Specialist to join our team. This position is contingent upon our firm being awarded the contract. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of experience in conducting training and providing technical assistance on complex concepts and data to diverse audiences, including non-technical, technical, and scientific stakeholders.

Location: Remote - US

Key Responsibilities:

  • Training Development: Design, develop, and deliver comprehensive training programs that effectively communicate complex health-related concepts and data to various audiences.
  • Technical Assistance: Provide expert technical assistance to stakeholders, helping them understand and apply complex data and concepts in their work.
  • Content Creation: Create engaging training materials, including presentations, manuals, and online resources, tailored to the needs of different audience types.
  • Workshops and Seminars: Conduct workshops, seminars, and webinars to educate and train stakeholders on relevant health communication and data topics.
  • Audience Analysis: Assess the needs of different audience groups to ensure training content is relevant, understandable, and actionable.
  • Evaluation and Feedback: Develop and implement evaluation tools to assess the effectiveness of training programs and gather feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with subject matter experts, researchers, and other stakeholders to ensure training content is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Communication: Serve as a liaison between technical experts and non-technical stakeholders to facilitate understanding and application of complex information.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Health Communications, Public Health, Education, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in conducting training and providing technical assistance on complex concepts and data.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in creating and delivering training programs using various tools and platforms (e.g., PowerPoint, e-learning software, webinars).
  • Content Expertise: Strong understanding of health communication principles and the ability to convey complex information clearly and effectively.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze and interpret complex data, and present it in an understandable manner.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage and educate diverse audiences.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and work collaboratively with a variety of stakeholders.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to adapt training methods and materials to meet the needs of different audiences.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in public health, healthcare, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with adult learning principles and instructional design.
  • Certification in training or education is a plus.
