School Gate Guardian, a leading provider of integrated school security solutions for the public and private K-12 market, with solutions including:  visitor management, student tardy, early dismissal and attendance tracking, volunteer management, digital hall pass, emergency management and re-unification, SIS integration and classroom door barricade, has an opening for a Technical Support Specialist.


Job duties include:


  • Provide phone, email and remote technical support for both software and hardware. 
  • Provide remote software and hardware installation and upgrade of existing software and hardware. 
  • Update software user’s manual with current screen shots and instructions. 
  • Assist with developing software installation packages and software update procedures. 
  • Develop and maintain documents related to common troubleshooting techniques for the software and hardware. 
  • Assembly of self-service Kiosk and testing. 
  • Assist with receiving and shipping packages to customers. 
  • Order hardware as needed. 
  • Log all customer support requests into our CRM. 
  • Train customers on how to use the software and hardware. 
  • Other duties as assigned.


Must be comfortable talking on the phone and interacting with customers to help determine and resolve issues.  Must have good grammar.  Must be a good problem solver and be able to work independently and with others, take initiative, task oriented and communicate effectively with customers and staff.  IT related experience a plus.
