C5T is currently seeking a Helpdesk Support Level II contributor for a challenging position as part of the large team supporting the Single Mobility System (SMS), which is USTRANSCOM's primary Command and Control (C2) system used to view requirements, plan missions, and track execution. The selected candidate will possess experience in providing helpdesk support and account management. The successful candidate will provide technical assistance to computer users by answering questions, assisting them with basic account issues, and documenting and elevating those items needing additional resolution. This support will be provided to clients in person, via telephone, or through other electronic means. A critical aspect of this position is professionalism and a customer service mentality, with emphasis on responsiveness, attention to the details, and clear, effective communication. This position does not allow for remote work.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Will create, validate, and manage user accounts, and answer questions, or resolve computer problems for a global community of over 20,000 DoD personnel.
  • Assist users with basic account and access issues, then document and elevate those needing additional resolution.
  • Modify user accounts, assign user privileges, verify user accounts annually, and provide a list of obsolete accounts for deletion.
  • Assist team with status reports and other deliverables dealing with account statistics.

Qualifications:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, required.
  • Strong time-management and task prioritization skills, required.
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills, required.
  • Must be a reliable professional, with high attention to detail.
  • Must be able to work on-site at Scott AFB, IL.
  • Solid understanding of computers, networks, and software, desired.
  • Technical experience in DoD IT programs, desired.
  • Associate degree in computer science, information technology, or another relevant field is required.
  • 3 years' experience in providing helpdesk support or related work is required.
  • Must be skilled in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel, etc.)
  • This position requires a DoD Secret Level Security Clearance. The applicant selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified.
  • US Citizenship/Work Eligibility: This position requires a candidate who is either a current US Citizen or has appropriate paperwork to show eligibility for full-time work in the US.
