The Business Manager is a newly created role that will improve current business processes and optimize organizational procedures for cross functional efficiency and productivity. The Business Manager serves as a key liaison between business leaders, executive management (ELT), private equity owners, and the board of directors. The Business manager must be an organized and self-directed team member with excellent communication skills and must be able to adapt to changes in responsibilities. This position reports directly to the Chief Operating Officer. (This is meant to be a guide. Duties may vary dependent upon management.)

Essential Position Functions:

  • Lead the intake, proper distribution, completion and retention of a variety of business requests, including customer and vendor compliance, insurance renewals, lease agreements, and certifications.
  • Develop and maintain a centralized process for critical business document retention.
  • Serve as chief of staff to ELT to:
    • Own the coordination and distribution of materials for monthly, quarterly and ad hoc Board of Director meetings.
    • Assist and communicate in decision-making, program management, and initiative implementation.
    • Support ELT in project planning and project management, including business and facilities related projects.
    • Attend staff and ELT meetings to record notes and act as delegate when needed.
  • Serve as liaison with ELT to improve company climate and employee well-being.
  • Assist in event coordination and scheduling.
  • Manage Corporate facilities team.
  • Other duties as required.

Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or related equivalent experience required.
  • Must have intermediate Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) skills.
  • Must be able to efficiently use a Windows-based computer.
  • Must be able to maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Ability to prioritize and complete assignments accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Able to effectively handle multiple priorities with a strong attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, oral, and written communications skills.
  • Must be able to read and communicate in English, for safe and effective performance of the job and business operations.
  • Must be able to work alone, and with a team.
  • Must be able to pass a drug screen and criminal background check.

  • Regularly required to walk and stand continuously for long periods of time.
  • Talk or hear, both in person and by telephone.
  • Reach with hands and arms.
  • Repetitive bending, twisting.
  • Specific vision requirements include close vision, distance vision and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to push/pull/leverage up to 75lbs.

Mental Demands

  • Regularly required to use written and oral communication skills.
  • Will interact regularly with managers and staff.
  • Must be able to work independently with little supervision.

Work Environment

  • Employee works in an office environment and in office environment, and the noise level is usually quiet.
