Raven Ridge is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our client's team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining accurate accounting records related to accounts receivable. As an Accounts Receivable Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the timely processing of customer payments, resolving payment discrepancies, and maintaining strong relationships with our valued clients.

To succeed in this role, you must have a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional communication and problem-solving skills and have a proven track record of success in accounts receivable management.

This is a temporary position that is expected to last around 6 months.  The client is offering a hybrid schedule, with flexibility to work remote 2 days per week. 

Responsibilities

  • Process customer payments accurately and in a timely manner
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies identified in customer payments
  • Reconcile accounts receivable ledger to ensure all payments are accounted for and properly posted
  • Monitor and follow up on overdue accounts receivable balances
  • Generate and distribute customer statements and invoices on a regular basis
  • Collaborate with the sales team to resolve any billing or payment issues
  • Provide excellent customer service by promptly responding to client inquiries and requests

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounts receivable or related finance roles
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
  • Proficient in using accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP)
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding targets in accounts receivable management
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance in accounts receivable would be an asset
