AMR is seeking a highly motivated, and detail-oriented Real Estate Analyst to work directly with our VP of Acquisitions and Development. This will be a fast-paced position and is an ideal situation for a person that is comfortable working in small teams and multi-tasking. As a Real Estate Analyst who works on acquisition and development of multi-family ground up projects, you will be primarily responsible for assisting the VP in analyzing all new property acquisitions. Candidate should possess a general understanding of local land use, zoning, and the development process. This includes an understanding of real estate pro forma’s, rental market research, basic due diligence research capabilities and providing actionable insights to support purchase investment decisions. The successful candidate will also possess excellent analytical skills, maintain a good understanding of multifamily market dynamics, and has the ability to communicate complex information clearly and concisely. Duties & Responsibilities

· Assist in evaluating and assessing potential real estate acquisitions by analyzing real estate data and offering recommendations with a focus on the Los Angeles (Southern California) region.

· Compilation of due diligence information including financial, market, site and regulatory data quality.

· Frequent site visits to new acquisitions site locations and assist in overseeing the due diligence and development feasibility of the properties.

· Assist in validation and defense of budgets, assumptions and pro-forma analysis.

· Monitor market trends and perform detailed market research using Co-Star (or other sources) to determine/verify a project’s economics and generate assumptions that will be used in financial models.

· Analyzing market conditions to identify potential investment risks.

· Preparing and reviewing acquisition and program management documentation, briefings, reports, and metrics.

Skills & Qualifications

· Minimum three years of experience in a Real Estate Analyst role, acquisition and development role, or similar field.

· Bachelor’s degree or higher in business analysis, business administration, finance, real estate development, planning, or related field.

· Great analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.

· Superior presentation skills.

· Must have high proficiency with computer software, including MS Word, Excel and Outlook.

· Proficiency in financial modeling and analysis.

· Excellent communication, written and organizational skills.

· Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.

· Adaptable and capable of working in fast-paced environments with strict adherence to deadlines.
