Position Summary

Full-time environmental technician located in Carson, California. Reports to Remedial Systems Operations Manager.

Tasks and Responsibilities

• Assist in the operation, sampling, maintenance, and repair of landfill gas and groundwater extraction and treatment systems operating under multiple environmental permits.

Requirements

• Current OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER certification

• Understand compliance requirements as found in environmental permits.

• Able to follow Standard Operating Procedures and Quality Assurance Protocols

• Must have a valid driver’s license and be approved for coverage under RE Solutions’ insurance policy.

• Physically able to perform required tasks.

• No supervisory responsibilities.

• General understanding of mechanical and electrical equipment operation.

• Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, and other office procedures and terminology.

• Advanced verbal and written English language skills.

Education

• Minimum High School education or equivalent required

• Post high school education or technical training highly desirable

Experience

• Minimum 0-3 years Environmental Field experience

• 2-3 years Environmental Experience preferred.

Location

• Carson, California job site, adjacent to the 405 freeway.

Working Hours

• Staff in this position are expected to work an 8-hour workday Monday through Friday.

• Occasional overtime up to a 12 hour workday and weekend work as necessary for response to system failures.
