We are seeking a skilled Die Maintenance Finisher to join a large team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in welding, air tools, and grinding tools. The successful applicant will be responsible for performing routine maintenance tasks and conducting repairs to maintain dies.
Responsibilities
- Maintain die molds for die casting machines.
- Review dies during disassembly, and repair any damage that may have occurred during the production process.
- Read and interpret schematics to identify potential problems and develop effective solutions.
- Work closely with the operations team to keep machines running and plan die maintenance.
- Asses damaged die to determine repair needs.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to resolve issues and improve overall maintenance efficiency.
- Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to safety protocols and best practices.
- Perform routine inspections to identify potential hazards and develop strategies for mitigation.
- Document maintenance activities and repair records in a clear and concise manner.
- Perform welding during die assembly to ensure the die is assembled properly.
Skills
- Proficient mechanical skills with the ability to disassemble and reassemble machinal equipment.
- High level welding in TIG, MIG, and Arc
- Experience using mills, lathes, torches, and grinders
- Familiarity with industrial maintenance procedures.
- Basic blueprint reading and machining practices.
- Experience with the use of oxygen-acetylene torches.
- Familiar with calipers and micrometers.
