Position Summary:
The Accounting Manager will oversee all aspects of the company’s accounting operations, including day-to-day operations, financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance. This role requires a detail-oriented professional with a strong understanding of e-commerce, inventory, sales tax and retail accounting. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing financial activities and implementing efficient processes to support the company’s growth.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
• Develop and manage the company’s budget, providing accurate forecasts and financial projections.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections from merchants.
• Ensure compliance with all tax regulations, including sales tax, and coordinate with external tax advisors.
• Implement and maintain robust internal controls, and coordinate external audits.
• Monitor and manage the company’s cash flow, ensuring sufficient liquidity for operations.
• Conduct financial analysis to support strategic decision-making and identify areas for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
• Assist in the implementation and optimization of accounting software and systems.
• Record, adjust, and maintain accounting journal entries for the month-end close process.
• Enter and reconcile bank accounts and credit cards.
• Prepare general ledger postings and statements.
• Prepare and generate 1099 forms for contractors accurately and in a timely manner, adhering to IRS guidelines and regulations.
Desired Skills And Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in a fast-paced environment
• Industry experience related to sales tax and e-commerce required.
• Dynamic and energetic
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency in QuickBooks and Excel.
The salary range for this position is $90k - $110k
