Developmental Interventionist/Lead Teacher

Carriage House is hiring a full-time Developmental Interventionist to serve as our lead toddler teacher. This candidate should have or be currently pursuing a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Interdisciplinary Early Childhood Education. A minimum of two years experience in the fields of early childhood education and/or early intervention is a requirement.
Responsibilities:
- Set up and maintain a safe learning environment.
- Follow state, federal, and local regulations regarding early childhood education.
- Follow selected curriculums to prepare weekly lesson plans and organize materials for instructional activities, including any items needed for adaptations and modifications.
- Monitor and evaluate children's learning through screenings and assessments administered throughout the year.
- Motivate, inspire, and encourage children in all aspects of their development.
- Delegate classroom responsibilities and direct assistants in implementation of lesson plans, skill instruction and modifications, engagement of students, intervention methods and data collection.
- Implement Behavior Support Plans and work collaboratively with Board Certified Behavior Analysts.
- Utilize early intervention methods and strategies including adaptive and assistive technology and the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis when necessary.
- Prepare data sheets and collect data regarding student progress, skills development and various behaviors within the classroom environment as needed.
- Collaborate with students' other teachers, behaviorists and therapists regarding current goals, therapeutic techniques and other pertinent information.
