Job Overview

The Outside Sales role will develop and deliver on opportunities for corporate and enterprise access control and surveillance solutions. Collaborating with both the customer and TCH team to design solutions with the top brands in equipment, software and services. Including cloud and on-premises solutions using traditional and mobile credentials.

This person will have a strong business development acumen and primary focus on building and maintaining customer relationships within Government and Military entities, Education, Healthcare, Commercial, Utility, and other key vertical markets in San Antonio and surrounding areas.

This role is base salary plus commission. Our commission program does not have a ceiling; therefore, allowing employees to drive their earning potential. The program has bonuses built in for reaching different levels of performance.

Essential Job Functions

  • Build/maintain strong relationships with existing customers and new prospects
  • Develop new sales opportunities by marketing company, products and services
  • Negotiate and submit quotes to prospective customers
  • Learn internal processes and procedures with regards to various security products
  • Coordinate with key manufacturer reps for customer presentations and service
  • Communicate by email, chat, text, virtually, and verbally
  • Analyze specifications to ensure products fit the project applications
  • Work cohesively with internal sales and operations teams to optimize customer relations
  • Collaborate with the Senior System Engineer to estimate job costs, provide written quotes and change orders
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and product knowledge
  • Effectively plan customer site visits
  • Other duties as required

Skills Requirements

  • 4+ years of Sales/ Account Management experience
  • Advanced knowledge of Access Control, Physical Security or related Technical Sales
  • Possess strong interpersonal and business development expertise
  • Be self-motivated, goal oriented, and able to work under general supervision
  • Ability to travel within assigned territory 50%-60% of the time and manage expense account
  • Adept at time management and organization
  • Presentation skills both virtually and in person
  • Ability to input/manage customer information and project tracking
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural plans and specifications
  • General working knowledge/proficiency of Google Suite
  • Solution-oriented mindset and a capacity to adapt in necessary situations
  • Must have a valid driver's license
  • Favorable results from a criminal background check, including Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check

Working Conditions

Office environment with extended periods of computer work with ability to sit or stand. Periodic site visits which may be dusty or loud and require walking on a variety of surfaces and the use of Personal Protective Equipment.
