Key Responsibilities:
- Accounts Payable and Receivable: Manage and process invoices, payments, and collections. Ensure timely and accurate recording of transactions.
- General Ledger: Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts. Monitor budget variances and provide analysis.
- Cost Accounting: Track and analyze project costs, including labor, materials, and overhead. Provide detailed cost reports to project managers.
- Financial Reporting: Assist team in preparing and maintain accurate financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Payroll: Process payroll and ensure accurate recording of payroll expenses.
- Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis to support management decision-making. Provide insights and recommendations for cost control and efficiency improvements.
- Software Proficiency: Utilize accounting software and tools (e.g., ERP Systems, Microsoft Excel) to perform accounting tasks efficiently.
- General Office Support: Team player attitude who is willing to step in and help on any tasks needed to support a collaborative office environment.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Experience: 2-5 years of accounting experience, preferably in the construction industry.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of financial reporting and construction accounting principles.
- Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to interpret financial data and provide actionable insights.
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
- Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
