Position Summary:

This position performs routine review of subsidiary ledger data entry for accuracy. Completes moderately complex calculations. Reconciles balance sheet accounts and performs account analysis and preparation of journal entries as requested. Gathers, compiles, and verifies information, performs data entry, and has an understanding of generally accepted accounting principles. . Responsible for the payroll processing and accounts payable on a bi-weekly basis.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Verify monthly Cash Receipts spreadsheet is accurate and reconcile with Donor Perfect, Careficient and all bank accounts.
  • Verify all entries to prepaid expenses are correct prior to allocations.
  • Reconcile all bank accounts.
  • Confirm that all entries to allocation accounts are complete and accurate monthly.
  • Download revenue data from Careficient and prepares relevant monthly journal entries.
  • Maintain accurate and complete workpapers and financial records in accordance with generally accepted auditing standards such that the organization is audit ready at all times.
  • Assist Finance Director with preparation of monthly financial statements.
  • Assist Finance Director with preparation of annual audits, 990 forms and budgets.
  • Collaborate, educate and support other Finance team members and organizational departments as needed.
  • Manages all activities related to Payroll including annual payroll activities to ensure they are completed accurately and on time.
  • Maintain accurate records and analysis reports in accordance with generally accepted auditing standards and ensure that the department is audit ready. Ensure compliance with applicable laws and payroll tax obligations and internal policies
  • Reconcile Payroll liability accounts on a monthly basis
  • Responded to all payroll inquiries from employees and outside agencies
  • Collecting and verifying financial information.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance or related field.
  • Minimum three( 3) years of experience in accrual accounting.
  • Proficiency in ten-key data entry experience required.
  • Health care industry experience preferred.
  • Non-profit accounting experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of financial systems; 365 MS Dynamics (Business Central) preferred.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • High level of attention to details.
  • Able to work independently, take ownership and responsibility of tasks.
  • Strong professional ethics, discretion and judgment.
  • Good organizational skills.

Job Type: Full-time
