The Sales Analyst plays a vital role in assisting the Sales Team with Forecasting, Planning, and Analysis by providing insights including but not limited to report generation and strategic data analysis. The Sales Analyst is the focal point for answering questions related to customer contracts, pricing and terms, and supports customer requests.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Accurately generates and processes reports that are distributed to sales personnel.

· Collect Sales data to analyze and report Sales Revenue and Projections at the Global, Entity, Channel, and Customer levels for weekly or Ad Hoc reporting.

· Prepares monthly sales and regional reports including revenue management, customer order analysis, and sales incentive calculation reports for individual and team production.

· Maintains Customer Group and Sales Manager Account allocation detail and initiates and communicates changes needed to maintain accuracy.

· Validates the customer rebate accruals, deductions, credits, and commission compensation calculation.

· Prepares sales data and PowerPoint presentations for the monthly S&OP meetings.

· Develop and maintain relationships and communications with key external customers to cultivate reciprocity of data and information sharing in order to improve forecasting and planning.

· Answers questions and maintains documents related to customer contracts, pricing and terms.

· Produces reports used in the creation of the Strategic Sales Plan, Sales Forecasting, and Supply Chain/Operations Planning, and analyzes to determine appropriate sales and production goals.

· Manage existing and creates new databases to ensure data integrity for accurate reporting and security of confidential information.

· Manages interfaces relating to various departments and systems within the organization.

· Assists sales team and IT department with latest software upgrades and coordinates training of new software.

· Coordinates input of historical data in systems to ensure accuracy for future planning, forecasting, and comparison analysis.

· Maintains Sales Data Stream Folder monthly. Provides in depth analytics and insights as requested.

· Establishes consistent Global Sales Reporting tools for all divisions of the company. Provides training for each entity as needed.

· Generates Ad Hoc Sales Reports as requested.

· Reports to Vice President of Sales while supporting Retail and Wholesale field sales team, company and independent sales reps.

· Works directly with the sales entities globally to structure their data and to create reporting tools they would need otherwise not have the local expertise to manage.

EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

· Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.

· At least 2-3 years of sales or related analytical experience preferred

· Experience within the consumer products/retail/ home improvement channel desired.

· Experience with JD Edwards desired.

· Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint).

· Proficient analytical abilities and keen attention to detail.

· Self Starter and team player with desire to participate in a collaborative team environment.
