Reporting to the General Manager, the outside sales representative’s main function will be to generate new sales with new clients in both existing and new industries. Preference will be given to those with previous experience selling conveyers, idlers and/or rollers. This position provides a base salary, (which is listed), but commissions.

Essential Responsibilities

High level of customer service and customer relations

Very active prospecting and closing deals, both in person and over the phone

Sell all services and parts offered, while achieving required margins and KPI’s.

Follow all procedures and processes, with updates in Trello

Follow check list and sales requirements to ensure all costs are captured for bids

Compile accurate and complete customer requirements

Track and report sales activities, use Trello for updates

Ensure projects are viable and the crew is clear on the plan

Accurately tracks and reports expenses

Keeps supervisor informed about the status of work being performed

Informs the supervisor about problems and potential problems as early as possible

Respect the confidentiality of the Company, customer and personnel information

Maintain cooperative working relationships with supervisors and other staff members

Consistently shows the ability to recognize and deal with priorities

Performs all duties in an independent manner with little supervision

Recognizing and performing duties which need to be performed, although not directly assigned, and assisting others as needed

Other duties and tasks as assigned

Measures of Performance:

Maintains a safe work environment

Closed sales, total sales goals

Bid accuracy, achieve margin goals

Use of tools and accurate sales reports

Positive outlook, strong work ethic, high level of sales activity

Demonstrate good judgement and decision making

Seeks guidance and direction as necessary for the performance of duties

At least 5 years in a related industry and robust network

Knowledge of industrial parts and maintenance and understanding of our work

5+ years of sales experience

College degree preferred

Pass a background check and drug screen

Strong mathematical and mechanical aptitude

Ability to sit at a desk or in a vehicle for long periods, climb stairs and ladders

Proficient with Microsoft Office software and Trello

Clean driving record

Working Conditions:

Desk work on computer and phone in home office

Travel by vehicle to client facilities.

Ability to lift 50 pounds.

Exposure to outside environment and dusty, dirty conditions at customer facilities
