Our client is seeking an experienced Controller to join their team full-time. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring accurate and timely financial management for the company. Your responsibilities will encompass accounting, financial reporting, payroll, tax compliance, insurance, and internal controls. Additionally, you will lead a world-class finance team, supporting our industry’s rapid changes and transformation. This position is hybrid. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary $145,000 to $170,000 per year.

Job Description:

  • Manage the accounting function to deliver accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with US GAAP requirements.

  • Oversee monthly/quarterly royalty reporting (Inbound & Outbound) to Licensees/Licensors, including intercompany transactions.

  • Analyze and recommend improvements to financial and operating performance, accounting policies, and management reporting processes.

  • Oversee internal and external audit and tax functions, coordinating activities with outside audit and tax firms.

  • Manage ERP system conversion and other supporting tools, supporting key initiatives around budgeting, corporate development, procurement, and financial and operational planning.

Requirements:

  • Familiarity with internal controls, multi-jurisdictional tax regulations, SOX compliance, and ERP implementations.

  • Strong grounding in accounting principles, financial controls, and reporting, with knowledge of GAAP.

  • Proficiency in general ledger accounting, month-end close processes, reconciliations, financial statements, and variance analysis.

  • Deep understanding of ERP financial planning systems.

Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance, or a related field.

  • 10+ years of progressive controller experience.
