Summary

General Laborers are responsible for various manual tasks such as digging trenches, unloading building materials, and preparing job sites. Use hand tools like shovels or picks while operating machinery to help them with the work and assist crews with other necessary tasks.

Essential Duties

  • Using manual labor and hand tools to assist with installation of petroleum dispensing equipment at retail and commercial fuel outlets
  • Manual Labor Assistance with the following:
    • Thread and install steel, fiberglass and flexible piping components
    • Great learning opportunity to learn to operate excavators, backhoes, dump trucks, compactors, skid loaders, air compressors, concrete saws and jack hammers
  • Understand and comply with applicable fire safety, OSHA, and EPA rules and regulations
  • Responsible for displaying conduct which reflects positively on the construction department and Petro Towery.
  • Promote Petro Towery’s mission statement.
  • All employees are expected to provide quality customer service.

Requirements

  • A minimum of a high school diploma/GED and/or one to three years construction experience in a similar environment or equivalent in college or vocational education
  • Valid Driver License, with an acceptable driving record
  • Ability to read and follow directions for manual processes
  • Must be 18 years of age and eligible to work in the United States
  • Must be willing to submit to a background and drug screen
  • Must be willing to work flexible hours to include being in an on call rotation
