Bridgehead IT is seeking a talented Solutions Engineer (Pre-Sales Engineer) who will serve as a key technical architect and advocate for our Microsoft 365, infrastructure, and networking solutions. As part of our Solutions team, you will engage with prospective clients to understand their IT challenges and requirements, effectively demonstrating how our solutions can address their needs. This role requires a technical understanding of Microsoft 365, cloud infrastructure, on-premises infrastructure and networking technologies.

 

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with the sales and account management teams to understand customer requirements and develop tailored technical solutions.
  • Conduct product demonstrations and presentations, highlighting the features and benefits of our ranging solutions.
  • Design and propose comprehensive IT solutions, including architecture designs, configurations, scopes of work.
  • Act as a subject matter expert during client meetings, effectively articulating technical concepts and benefits.
  • Provide technical guidance and support throughout the sales cycle, from initial contact to post-sale execution by the Project Team.
  • Conduct assessments and evaluations of client environments to identify opportunities for improvement and optimization.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, Microsoft 365 updates, and advancements in infrastructure and networking technologies.
  • Manage queue of engineering work and assign proper SMEs to assist in creating solutions.


Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Organized with attention to detail.
  • Excellent analytical, logical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Understanding of project management principles and planning.
  • Proficient with, or able to quickly become knowledgeable with, a range of general and specialized applications, software, and hardware used in the organization and the industry.
  • Must be able to travel with minimal notice.


Education and Experience

  • Entry Level to Mid-Level experience.
  • College degree or.
  • Proven experience in a pre-sales engineering role or similar technical sales role within the IT industry.
  • In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 suite (including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, etc.), cloud infrastructure (Azure), on-premises infrastructure (VMWare, Hyper-V, etc.) and networking technologies.
  • Strong understanding of IT infrastructure components (servers, storage, virtualization, etc.) and networking principles (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, etc.).
  • Excellent presentation skills with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts effectively to diverse audiences.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

 

Additional Bonus Experience:

 

  • Microsoft certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate, Microsoft Certified: Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals).
  • HPE, Dell, Pure or anything other infrastructure certifications
  • Experience with configuring and troubleshooting Microsoft 365 and Azure environments.
  • Familiarity with IT security principles and best practices.
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering technical presentations and proposals to clients.
