Overview:

The International Senior Market Manager is responsible for globally expanding products in viable markets. They will develop and implement sales and marketing strategies aligned with global guidelines and company Objectives and Key Results (OKRs). This involves conducting market analyses, identifying sales opportunities, monitoring trends, and conducting competitor research. The role also includes maintaining strong relationships with international clients and partners.

 

This position is remote, the company is based in the San Diego Metro area.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute international business development strategies to drive revenue growth, profitability, and market expansion.
  • Identify and evaluate potential markets, assessing trends, competition, regulations, and consumer preferences.
  • Build and manage relationships with distributors, retailers, and local agencies.
  • Lead negotiations and contract discussions with partners and clients.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (sales, marketing, product development, operations) to ensure seamless execution of initiatives.
  • Monitor and analyze market performance, sales data, and key metrics to evaluate strategy effectiveness.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, emerging markets, and competitive developments.
  • Ensure company mission, vision, and values are understood and aligned with distributor partners.
  • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and conferences.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in business administration and 5+ years of experience in international sales & marketing within a Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) company, or bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and 8+ years of similar experience.

Skills:

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with proficiency in English.
  • APAC experience (particularly Korea and Japan)
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise good judgment.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Initiative and ability to work independently and proactively.
  • Strong leadership and teamwork skills.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Respect for diversity and commitment to inclusion.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant digital tools.

Additional Requirements:

  • Willingness to travel internationally (approximately 25% of the time).
  • Valid passport, driver's license, and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to meet physical and mental demands of the job, including occasional lifting, extended periods of screen time, and working in various environments.
