JOB RESPONSIBLITIES:

· Responsible for performing the day-to-day general ledger accounting, financial reporting, and financial analysis.

· Assist with the development of core financial statements to be distributed to Executive Management monthly.

· Research and prepare variance analysis and explanations.

· Contribute to the narrative explanations provided in the monthly management reports.

· Document policies, procedures and controls around financial reporting and accounts payable.

· Assist with the development and monitoring of annual corporate, functional, and departmental budgets.

· Perform Balance sheet account reconciliations, account analysis, accrual calculations and other related accounting documents/schedules.

· Prepare and maintain weekly financial reports for the Finance Team and the Executive Team.

· Assist with various internal audits

· Assist with implementation of various cost savings/revenue enhancement initiatives.

· Analyze expenditures to identify cost savings opportunities.

· Develop a comprehensive set of process flowcharts, deliverable checklists with sign-offs, and an electronic filing system to manage the entire Finance teams myriad deliverables and work-in-progress.

· Assist with accounts payable and other departmental functions as needed.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Strong, analytical, organizational and problem solving skills with bottom line orientation.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • The ability to interact with internal and external customers and vendors.
  • Excellent documentation and organizational skills.
  • Understanding of accounting processes, procedure and internal controls.
  • Ability to adapt quickly and learn new tasks independently.

 

Training/Education

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or accounting
  • Spreadsheet and database software, e.g., Microsoft Excel, Word, Powerpoint and Access.
  • Sage intacct experience a must.

 

Experience

 

  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years’ experience in financial accounting in a for-profit, GAAP environment.
