Description of the Position
Join their team as a Staff Accountant and play a pivotal role in our finance department, ensuring the smooth financial operations of our company. As a Staff Accountant, you will utilize your expertise in accounting principles and practices to maintain accurate financial records and contribute to the financial success of our organization.
Responsibilities of the Position
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes efficiently and accurately.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, reports, and budgets to provide insights into financial performance.
- Perform month-end and year-end closing procedures, including reconciliations and journal entries.
- Assist in the preparation of tax filings and audits.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support financial decision-making and process improvements.
- Ensure compliance with accounting regulations and company policies.
- Provide support for ad-hoc financial projects and initiatives as needed.
Requirements of the Position
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or finance roles, preferably in the construction industry.
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office suite.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with team members.
- CPA certification (preferred but not required).
