We are seeking an experienced catering chef to head up our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of catering operations, from inventory, to ordering, food preparation to service, ensuring exceptional culinary experiences for our clients. Park Crest is primarily a wedding venue with a 300 person seated capacity. However, we are currently in a growth phase and building a second venue with a larger capacity that will be ready for use in 2025. There is also an additional smaller venue on property currently not being used. We are looking for someone who is sales oriented and open to growing our brand outside of weddings and large events. We have the ability to host smaller private dinners, showers, parties, and luncheons. The ideal candidate will be aligned in our vision to extend our existing catering offerings to a wider audience and bring on new clients and events.

Duties:

- Plan and execute catering events, including menu planning, food preparation, and presentation
- Manage kitchen operations, including inventory management and ordering supplies
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of cleanliness
- Schedule and supervise catering staff, providing guidance and training as needed
- Coordinate with clients to understand their preferences and dietary requirements
- Oversee the setup and breakdown of catering events
- Utilize ordering and inventory skills when necessary to assist in ordering and staffing of bartenders

Experience:

- Proven experience in food handling, kitchen management, and food production
- Familiarity with dietary department operations and food safety protocols
- Strong background in hospitality management, particularly in high volume or catering/event establishments
- Experience supervising staff and coordinating catering events
- Proficiency in inventory management to ensure adequate supplies are available - Proficiency in ordering, managing par levels, and building prep lists to eliminate waste and over prepping.
