Job Summary:
The Estimator/Outside Sales Representative will collaborate with the Sales Manager to ensure projects are accurately estimated for cost, revenue, and materials associated with projects. Complete timely estimating tasks, including plan take-offs, collection of job-related data, including driving the projects, and other relevant details. Will independently develop estimates for smaller jobs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare initial cost estimates for the required supplies and services, create pricing schedules, develop bid proposals, and assess the technical aspects of the job.
- Drive to jobsites and meet customers, discuss requirements, and evaluate conditions of the parking lots while offering suggestions that will enhance the appearance and operative functionality.
- Mine information from current systems and develop processes to monitor and improve data that is utilized to estimate and operate.
- Become familiar with all administrative assignments associated with estimating.
- Continuously gain knowledge about the company through key staff members including Leadership and Production Managers/Foremen. Expand knowledge in all production areas of the business.
- Evaluate processes and workflows that may develop various areas of operation within the company. Make recommendations to the Senior Estimator and implement processes as requested.
- Perform a variety of other duties as assigned.

- Sales Aptitude – ability to break down projects and define work scope and the requirements for materials, labor, and equipment.
- Organization – must be self-managed and organized with the ability to break down tasks for multiple and simultaneous projects in various stages of completion.
- Multi-Tasking – ability to thrive in a fast -paced environment managing multiple jobs at any given time.
- Collaborator – must work well with other team members in all departments.
- Communication – must have good verbal and written communication skills.
- Contributor - seeks and communicates ideas that will enhance overall department efficiencies.

- Integrity and confidentiality.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent. College coursework preferred.
- 2 + years of contract estimating, or management is a plus, similar work experience will be considered.
- Microsoft Office Suite, intermediate experience.
- Prior construction and contract experience is preferred.
- Must have valid and active Driver's license to be able to perform this role
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to walk jobsites with customers including multi-level parking garages.
- Must be able to lift and move up to fifteen pounds at times.
