The mission of Boys & Girls Clubs of Tampa Bay is to enable all young people, especially those who need us the most, to reach their full potential as productive, responsible, caring citizens.
POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible for managing club programs and services under the supervision of the Club Director. Second in charge in the absence of the Club Director. Responsible for overseeing the delivery of a range of programs within a designated Club, to achieve the Formula for Impact. Plans, develops, oversees implementation, supervises programs and program staff, and performs related administrative duties.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Create an environment that facilitates the achievement of Youth Development Outcomes
- Promote and stimulate program participation
- Register new members and participate in the club orientation process
- Provide guidance and role modeling to members
- Effectively implement and administer programs, services and activities for club members and visitors
- Monitor and evaluate programs, services, and activities to ensure safety of members, quality in programs and appearance of the unit at all times
- Prepare lesson plans and various activities for members to engage in to promote diverse programming on a daily basis
- Ensure a productive work environment by participating in weekly staff meetings
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School diploma or GED
- Successful supervisory experience preferred
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Group leadership skills, including and understanding of group dynamics
- Demonstrated organizational, staff and project management abilities
- Knowledge of the mission, objectives, policies, programs and procedures of the
- Boys & Girls Clubs of Tampa Bay; and the principles and practices of non-profit organization
- Demonstration of ability to communicate with different groups
- Managing facility within budget
TRAVEL:
Travel may be required to multiple Club facilities throughout Hillsborough and Pasco County for training and/or other business purposes.
