Job Description: Payroll Manager

Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Payroll Manager to oversee all aspects of payroll processing and administration within our organization. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with ADP payroll systems and a strong understanding of payroll best practices. The Payroll Manager will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing for all employees while maintaining compliance with company policies and government regulations.

Responsibilities:

  1. Payroll Processing:
    • Manage the end-to-end payroll process, including data entry, review, and submission of payroll information using ADP software.
    • Ensure accurate calculation of wages, taxes, deductions, and other payroll-related items.
    • Process and distribute payroll on a timely basis, adhering to established deadlines.
  2. Compliance:
    • Stay up-to-date with federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
    • Implement and maintain payroll policies and procedures in accordance with legal requirements and company policies.
  3. ADP Expertise:
    • Utilize ADP software to its full potential, including but not limited to payroll processing, tax filing, and reporting.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to ADP payroll processing.
    • Provide training and support to payroll team members on the effective use of ADP software.
  4. Recordkeeping and Reporting:
    • Maintain accurate payroll records and employee data in ADP system.
    • Generate and distribute payroll reports to management as needed.
    • Prepare and submit payroll-related filings, such as tax reports and compliance forms.
  5. Employee Support:
    • Address payroll-related inquiries from employees and management in a timely and professional manner.
    • Assist employees with payroll-related matters, including understanding pay statements and resolving discrepancies.
  6. Process Improvement:
    • Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation within the payroll function.
    • Implement efficiency measures to streamline payroll processes and increase accuracy.

Qualifications:

  • field preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in payroll processing and administration, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
  • Proficiency in using ADP payroll software is required.
  • Strong understanding of payroll laws, regulations, and best practices.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Certification in Payroll (e.g., CPP) is a plus.
