Payroll Analyst

Overview/ Job Responsibilities:
The Payroll Analyst will be responsible for providing administrative and financial assistance in matters of all payroll related activities for a rapidly growing federal prime contractor in Woodbridge, VA. (Must work in the office at least 3 days a week)
- Work closely with employees, Human Resources, outside vendors and government entities as well as other internal departments to ensure accurate information in direct support of corporate efforts. Positive professional attitude with ability to communicate clearly, timely, and accurately.
- Review and verify accuracy and completeness of approved time entries and communicate with the department supervisors/managers any unusual entries or discrepancies.
- Process semi-monthly timesheets for employees through Unanet and perform audit to check entirety and accuracy of employees’ paycheck.
- Remain current on all relevant payroll regulations in multiple jurisdictions.
- Identify efficiencies needed in payroll process and provide recommendations to Controller.
- Work closely with Human Resources and Accounting on all payroll related policies and processing changes or issues.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Payroll Manager, Controller or CFO.
- Must be able to meet rigorous deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Take initiative, work independently, multi-task and maintain confidentiality.
- Must have strong numerical and analytical skills with attention to details.

Minimum Qualifications:

- High School Diploma/GED
- Experience in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, SharePoint, PowerPoint) knowledgeable with word processing, presentation, spreadsheet, and database software.

**Clearance Level**:Must be a U.S. Citizen able to obtain a clearance

Desired Qualifications:

- Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) a plus
- Prior experience with Unanet and Workday is helpful though not required.
