Job Overview:

The IT Support Technician is responsible for responding to and resolving helpdesk requests via on site, walk in, phone, email and remote support as well as installing and supporting technology at client sites including computers, networking, software and VOIP equipment.

Job Responsibilities:

·        Install new equipment including computers, printers, phones, security cameras, switches, access points, servers, software, audiovisual equipment, and related peripherals at customer sites.

·        Assist clients with IT projects including proposals, drawings and reporting.

·        Manage customer Office 365 licensing and user accounts as well as Active Directory users.

·        Assist with customer projects, installation of new technology and set up of equipment.

·        Troubleshoot issues with Windows based physical and virtual servers and services. Image and set up new computers, install new hardware and configure software.

·        Repair and upgrade computers, migrate hard drives to solid state drives, back up drives to images and restore drives from images.

·        Troubleshoot and diagnose technical issues with computer hardware and software in the office, at customer sites, via phone and TeamViewer.

·        Prioritizing and responding to helpdesk tickets in a timely manner.

·        Assisting other employees with projects and support issues.

·        Monitor stock levels of supplies and notify supervisor of low stock on items that need replenishment. Keep stock room shelves and supplies orderly.

·        Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

·        Working knowledge of PC hardware, Microsoft Windows, and Microsoft Office

·        Understanding of networking principals and structured cabling

·        Familiarity with current Windows operating systems including basic understanding of Windows Server and Hyper-V

·        Understanding of audiovisual equipment and telephony including displays, projectors, basic audio systems, VoIP phones and analog phones.

·        Ability to work as a team and lead projects support calls without assistance

·        Ability to independently troubleshoot issues, document problems and arrive at a solution

·        Willingness to learn, grow and move the organization forward

·        Ability to commute to our New Holland office with travel to clients within our operating area

·        This job operates largely in a normal office environment protected from outside weather conditions but is exposed to varying temperatures and environmental conditions in client job locations.

·        The role is subject to occasional hazards including a variety of physical conditions, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current, working on scaffolding and high places, exposure to high heat or exposure to chemicals.

·        This role requires the ability to lift and move objects up to 30 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally.

·        This role requires close visual acuity and use of limbs to climb, stoop, kneel, reach, push, pull, finger, and grasp objects of varying size and texture.  Standing and walking for short periods of time and both hearing and talking abilities are required.
