Job Summary:

The position will support a new business start-up of an “two- person” delivery driver & helper (employee or independent contracted contractors) and associated personnel in a fast-paced, environment. Supports all facets of the operation, transportation, delivery operations, and inventory control.

Responsibilities:

  • Accountable for commitment to WFM safety procedures and guidelines.
  • Provide leadership to customer delivery teams and warehouse associates.
  • Consistently maintain energy, enthusiasm, and ambition to flourish within a team environment.
  • Proven ability to foster partnerships and establish realistic goals.
  • Training, coaching and developing people.
  • Communicate timely and professionally with leadership of distribution centers, showrooms & customers.
  • Enhance the customers' delivery experience.
  • Implement company policies and procedures.
  • Perform additional functions that may be assigned at the discretion of management.
  • Support measuring and monitoring of the complete fulfillment cycle to meet and exceed client requirement-including transportation, receiving and quality inspections, return inventory management.
  • 2-3 years effective in managing internal warehouse movement and strong focus on owning inventory.
  • Will support ten 26' (foot) Delivery Box Trucks.
  • Supported by a team of Warehouse off loaders.

Qualifications/ Experience:

  • Strong knowledge of warehouse processes, technology, order fulfillment to retail, transportation, and supply chain management.
  • Continuously lift, lower, push, pull furniture up to and in excess of 80-100 lbs.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven leadership ability: demonstrated ability to build, mentor, train, grow and lead a team.
  • Strong computer skills, especially in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in warehouse management, distribution, and four wall inventory control - preferably in big box consumer goods or last-mile distribution.
  • AS/BS/BA degree preferred. coursework or college degree in related field a plus.
