This Part-Time position is a great opportunity for an individual who is looking to gain valuable office experience while enjoying the flexibility of a part-time schedule. We welcome candidates, including current college students, with the right skills and a positive attitude to apply and contribute to our dynamic work environment. Total hours are flexible, with a minimum of 15 hours weekly. The role is located at our Norwood location.

  • Responsibilities:
    • Marketing support:
      • Assist the marketing director with projects, including but not limited to:
        • Website editing
        • Showroom design and maintenance for all 5 locations
        • Help manage Metropolitan’s social media accounts and LinkedIn page
        • Provide support in scheduling and organizing meetings and events
    • Administrative Support:
      • Assist with general office tasks such as filing, photocopying, scanning, and data entry
      • Handle incoming and outgoing mail, emails, and phone calls
    • Clerical Tasks:
      • Update and maintain databases, spreadsheets, and other records
      • Prepare and modify documents, including correspondence, reports, and presentations
    • Collaboration:
      • Work closely with other team members to ensure seamless office operations
      • Collaborate with various departments to support their administrative needs
    • Technology Proficiency:
      • Utilize office software and equipment proficiently, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
      • Learn and adapt to any industry-specific software used within the organization
    • Confidentiality:
      • Handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality
      • Follow established protocols to safeguard confidential data
  • Requirements:
    • Previous experience in an office or administrative role is a plus
    • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Schedule:
    • The position involves working a flexible schedule of a couple of days a week, with the possibility of occasional additional hours based on workload
