Systems Administrator/Network Engineer

This is not a remote Position. Must be 45 minutes or less to the Roseville, CA area.

Vision Quest information Solutions is a Managed Service Provider in the Sacramento/Placer County region. We are looking for a mid-high level Systems Administrator/ Network engineer.

 

As a Managed Service's Provider, we are interested in people with a wide range of skill sets and experience.

This candidate will have three-plus years of experience in a senior support role, strong technical skills, personable with clients and internal staff and have a positive attitude that inspires growth.

 

Responsibilities

  • Provide complex technical support to Vision Quest customers
  • Set up and configure individual network users
  • Assist in a variety of IT projects
  • Maintain accurate notes and time entries in Autotask Ticketing System
  • Serve as an escalation point for complex technical issues
  • Research, recommend, and implement new technology
  • Mentor less experienced technical support staff
  • Answer phone calls
  • Occasionally perform tier 1 when needed
  • Design/deploy/maintain server/networking projects.
  • Help implement cyber-Security.

 

Experience and Skills

 

  • Managed Services Experience required to be considered.
  • Enterprise experience additionally preferred.
  • Cisco experience required, know the cisco IOS inside and out. CCNA/CCNP preferred.
  • Cyber security experience required.
  • Active cybersecurity certification preferred.
  • Microsoft Azure experience deploying hybrid and full cloud environments required.
  • Microsoft 365 administration including SharePoint, OneDrive, Exchange etc. required
  • Experience in setting up/supporting disaster recovery solutions such as (Altaro, Veeam, Datto, etc..) required.
  • 5-10 years troubleshooting and administration of Windows PC’s and server hardware and Operating Systems, Microsoft Office and other common applications, Active Directory, Group Policy, virtualization technologies (Microsoft Hyper-V in particular), Exchange, common backup technologies, network printing and faxing. Knowledge of networking and network connectivity, VPN’s and Wi-Fi.
  • Experience with RMM's (NinjaRMM, ConnectWise, Continuum, N-Central etc.)
  • Experience using PSA's Like Autotask for ticketing and opportunities
  • Strong customer service, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be an excellent team player who can also work independently.
  • Position requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, maneuver under desks, and be able to cable new workstation arrangements/setups.
  • Driver's license and appropriate insurance required. The position will be based in Roseville, CA, and will require travel to its surrounding areas. We pay mileage.
  • MSP Experience over 5 years is highly desirable.

 

This is a Salaried position occasional weekend and off hours work required. Salary is DOE however the range would be around $80k-$100k.
