Your Role: In this position, you will provide essential technical support to the Metro district Human Resources Office, assisting in various HR functions that are crucial for the smooth operation of our department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support recruitment and selection processes.
  • Process personnel transactions using our HR information system.
  • Assist in the administration of employee benefits.
  • Provide general administrative support to the HR office, including Staffing, Labor Relations, Training, and Safety teams.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned, including backup coverage for lobby and phone inquiries.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Experience with data management systems for data entry and tracking.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel for report preparation and correspondence.
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written, for effective interaction with customers and employees.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience interpreting collective bargaining agreements and company policies.
  • Familiarity with applicant tracking systems and HR information systems.
  • Background in recruitment and selection activities.
