We are seeking an experienced Director of Information Technology to join our success and help lead our Information Technology team.  The Director of IT will be responsible for overseeing the technology infrastructure and digital operations of XR, LLC. This role will lead a team of IT professionals and work collaboratively with other departments to ensure the seamless operation and security of our e-commerce platform. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT management, and e-commerce systems, and a commitment to maintaining the highest level of confidentiality and privacy in our operations. The candidate will have proven success growing e-commerce sales through strategy, efficiencies, and new technology.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

IT Strategy and Leadership:

  • Develop and implement the company's IT strategy to support business objectives.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of IT professionals.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability within the IT department.

E-commerce Systems Management:

  • Oversee the maintenance and improvement of Shopify e-commerce stores, ensuring a secure and efficient shopping experience.
  • Work closely with development and marketing teams to implement new features and improvements.
  • Monitor website performance, uptime, and security to ensure a positive customer experience.

Information Security:

  • Assist in implementing and maintaining robust security measures to protect customer data and maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Develop and enforce IT security policies and procedures, including compliance with industry regulations.

Infrastructure Management:

  • Assist in managing the company's IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and cloud services.
  • Ensure scalability and reliability of systems to support business growth.
  • Evaluate and implement new technologies to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Stays abreast of advances in technology, services, and solutions.

Vendor Management:

  • Collaborate with third-party vendors and service providers to optimize IT services and solutions.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements to ensure cost-effectiveness and quality of services.

Budget and Resource Management:

  • Manage the IT department's budget ensuring cost control and allocation of resources to meet company objectives.

Compliance and Data Privacy:

  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations, especially regarding customer data (PCI), and privacy in the adult industry.

EDUCATION, SKILLS, AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or Computer Science.
  • 8+ years of proven experience in IT leadership and operations with the e-commerce industry.
  • Current/Active Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Certified information systems security professional (CISSP) or equivalent Information security certification.
  • Experience with Information Security & Data Privacy frameworks (ISO27001, NIST, PCI-DSS, GDPR, CCPA).
  • Proficient in cloud-based technologies (SaaS, PaaS, IaC, etc.)
  • Strong understanding of e-commerce platforms and technologies. Shopify experience required.
  • Expertise in data security, privacy, and compliance.
  • Proficient with cloud services, network infrastructure, and cybersecurity.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and leadership skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and strategic planning abilities.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent analytical and management skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal/customer service skills.
  • Proficient with service desk solutions.
  • Thorough understanding of IT and practical applications to support the company’s goals.
  • Ability to plan, organize, and document complex systems while complying with current policies and procedures.
  • Knowledge of adult industry regulations and sensitivity to related concerns is a plus.
  • Must be comfortable viewing adult imagery and videos with the ability to professionally discuss adult products.
