Location: Allentown, PA
Shift: 1st Shift (Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM)
Pay: $19.50/hr
Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented warehouseman responsible for the shipment and receipt of all finished goods, vendor returns, customer returns, customer salvage, components, machinery, and other items shipping from our facility. The ideal candidate will ensure efficient and accurate handling of goods and perform the following duties:
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the preparation of goods for shipment, including staging on the dock, labeling, bill of lading, packing slip preparation, and appropriate Automated Management (AIM) transactions.
- Operate a forklift to load and unload trucks and move materials to designated areas.
- Stage and identify products to be shipped, verifying them against the proper bill of lading.
- Complete necessary paperwork and distribute it to appropriate persons for all shipments.
- Unload trucks, receive products and components, and verify materials against incoming paperwork.
- Operate a Radio Frequency (R.F.) gun to store and retrieve products and components from the Automated Storage & Recovery System (AS-RS).
- Label incoming material with proper bar code labels and verify the label against the material.
- Drive an inter-plant truck to transport materials or packaged forms to and from specified destinations.
- Inspect truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, and water.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in shipping and receiving or a similar role.
- Ability to operate a forklift and other material-handling equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to use a Radio Frequency (R.F.) gun and Automated Management systems.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to complete necessary paperwork accurately.
- Valid driver's license and the ability to drive an inter-plant truck.
