Seeking a Benefit Customer Service Representative to join our client in Bloomington, MN This role offers onsite, hybrid, and remote work options, but candidates must be based in the Bloomington area. As a Benefit Customer Service Representative, you will have the rewarding opportunity to assist client members with their healthcare and pension plan enrollment and updates. This Contract to possible hire opportunity offers $18/hour

Candidates have the option to select fully remote, 100% onsite or Hybrid 


Key Responsibilities:

  • Quickly build rapport and respond compassionately to customer inquiries via phone, email, and instant messaging.
  • Customize customer service to suit various communication styles, maintaining professionalism and diplomacy.
  • Handle confidential information with discretion, complying with HIPAA and data privacy laws.
  • Simplify complex health, welfare, and pension information for easy understanding.
  • Interpret client plan documents and online resources to address immediate requests and anticipate future needs.
  • Adhere to company and client procedures, providing accurate information.
  • Maintain and document detailed call and case notes.
  • Participate in team meetings and training sessions.
  • Focus on assisting customers throughout the day.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.


Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience in a customer service environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and managing multiple computer windows while assisting customers.
  • Typing speed of at least 30 words per minute.
  • Enthusiastic about learning, with strong computer skills and self-motivation.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, committed to clear and professional notes and communications.
  • Ability to handle objections with knowledge, patience, and understanding.
  • Effective communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work in a structured environment, adhering to protocols.
  • High attention to detail, multitasking capabilities, and organizational skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously in a team environment.
  • Excellent attendance and punctuality.
