Overview:

As a Business Development Representative, you will be responsible for generating qualified sales meetings with C-Level, Technology Managers, Marketing, Sales, and Business Intelligence Executives at SMB target accounts. You will generate qualified leads from new client relationships by expanding CIT’s footprint within existing accounts. Successful candidates will be able to match critical growth priorities with CIT’s core solution offerings. BDRs are required to understand our service portfolio and provide vetted appointments for the CIT Account Executive team to attend.

Who You Are:

You have a passion for technology and love helping others by providing innovative solutions. Successful candidates stay up to date on the latest technology offerings and are comfortable engaging with current and prospective clients with phone-based and face-to-face conversations.



Things you can expect to do:

  • Work with the sales and marketing teams to support the management of the sales processes required to sell CIT’s offerings.
  • Own prospecting, targeting, qualifying, and initial engagement of C-level executives and their teams to book sales calls and face-to-face meetings.
  • Execute, document, and manage established marketing/lead nurturing campaigns.
  • Attend vertical industry trade shows to develop, manage, and qualify leads.
  • Identify and help to develop strategic relationships with potential customers.
  • Assist in developing a strong pipeline of new customers and projects in accounts through direct or indirect customer contact and prospecting.
  • Work with marketing, sales, and product development teams to implement business development initiatives.
  • Represent CIT’s people, culture, and values in the market.
  • Performance Expectations: This position reports to the Business Development Manager and Director of Marketing & Business Development and has four primary performance objectives:


Sales Meetings: Create phone and face-to-face meetings with highly qualified prospects (10+ per month) and then hand off opportunities to our sales team members with proper documentation.

Contacts: Make an average of 40 calls/emails per day to prospects, articulating the benefit of our services portfolio and addressing questions and concerns from potential customers.

Database Generation: Maintain CIT’s database of qualified prospects that will support corporate marketing and lead nurturing efforts to include data enrichment of contact and company information.

Overall Team Performance to Goal: Support team activities required to achieve sales targets.



Required qualifications:

  • Able to work effectively in a corporate office environment, maintaining a consistent 40-hour workweek.
  • Proficient in English, with strong written and oral communication skills.
