JOB DESCRIPTION:
We are currently seeking skilled and compassionate Registered Nurses to join our team
Registered Nurses (RNs) play a crucial role in healthcare, providing direct patient care, promoting health, and preventing illness. Their responsibilities vary depending on the setting and specialization, but generally include:
- Assess patient health needs, develop care plans, and administer medications and treatments prescribed by physicians. They monitor patients' conditions, record medical histories, and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic care.
- Educate patients and their families about health conditions, medications, and treatments. They provide guidance on managing illnesses or injuries, promoting wellness, and preventing diseases.
- Act as advocates for patients, ensuring their rights are respected and their voices heard in healthcare decisions. They may also advocate for healthcare policies and improvements in patient care.
- Manage patient records, maintain documentation of care provided, and coordinate healthcare services. They may also supervise nursing assistants and other support staff.
- Triage patients, administer emergency care, and collaborate with emergency medical teams to stabilize patients.
- May specialize in areas such as critical care, oncology, pediatrics, psychiatry, or geriatrics. Specialization requires additional training and certification, enabling RNs to provide specialized care and support for patients with specific health needs.
- Promote health and wellness through public education campaigns, community outreach programs, and preventive care initiatives. They may conduct screenings, vaccinations, and health assessments to detect and prevent diseases.
- Deliver compassionate and skilled care while advocating for the well-being of their patients.
- Provide quality healthcare services across various healthcare settings.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program with a current NY Registered Nurse license.
- BLS/ CPR Certification.
- Fingerprinting.
- Excellent knowledge of nursing care methods and procedures.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Compassionate and caring demeanor.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
