A locally owned and operated engineering firm based in North Charleston, that prides itself on commitment to quality, innovation, and client satisfaction is currently seeking a dedicated and organized Administrative Assistant to join their team. Shift is an 8am-5pm with an hourly rate of $18-$20/hr. based on experience.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Office Management: Ensure the smooth operation of the office by managing supplies, handling mail, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
  • Communication: Handle phone calls, emails, and other correspondence professionally and efficiently. Act as a point of contact between clients, vendors, and team members.
  • Scheduling: Manage calendars, schedule meetings, and coordinate appointments for team members.
  • Documentation: Prepare, edit, and format documents, reports, and presentations. Maintain accurate and organized records and filing systems.
  • Data Entry: Enter and update information in databases and spreadsheets accurately and timely.
  • Support: Assist with various administrative tasks as needed, including copying, scanning, and filing documents.
  • Customer Service: Greet visitors and clients warmly, ensuring they feel welcome and attended to.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in an administrative or office support role is required, Dispatch experience is highly preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). 
  • Candidate must be polished and professional in both presentation and demeanor.  You will be the first impression of the business.
