RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Robotic Program Engineer will work within a multidisciplinary design team, and is responsible for the design, development, and support of all aspects of robot path and control systems for custom industrial automation machinery, throughout all phases of the project lifecycle. Qualified candidates will be familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures in the field of robotic equipment design and manufacture. Detailed responsibilities include:
- Robot sizing and reach validations.
- Robot programming on ABB and Fanuc Platforms.
- Support of the manufacturing and assembly teams.
- Handling and prioritizing multiple projects at a time.
- System start-up, testing, and debugging.
- On-site installation and integration support.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in electrical, mechanical, industrial, or similar engineering or related technical field.
- Minimum 7 years robot control and integration experience.
- Excellent skills in robot programming and simulation software (Robot Studio and Robo Guide).
- Excellent technical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Travel required as needed to fulfill responsibilities.
The preferred candidate will possess one or more of the following qualifications:
- Significant experience programming ABB and Fanuc Robots.
- Significant experience integrating robot controllers into secondary master controllers.
- Significant skill with multiple programming languages, in addition to PLC ladder logic.
- Significant experience with industrial vision inspection system and/or vision guided robotics.
- Significant experience with the following robot applications (Pick and place, Assembly, Palletizing, Welding)
- Significant experience with pneumatic systems and related controls.
- Advanced level training certifications from the robot manufacturers.
