East Sacramento Concierge focuses on a precise and personalized approach to patient care with emphasis on treating “the patient with the disease and not the disease of the patient while determining the origin of the illness." This includes physical, mental, lifestyle, and social support.

Dr. Schonze Del Pozo, MD is an Internal Medicine Specialist and has over 15 years of experience in the medical field. She graduated from Johns Hopkins School of Medicine medical school in 2006. At East Sacramento Concierge, we focus on personalized medical services. We first determine the root cause of the illness, and then work with our patients as a team. Incorporating an integrative approach is our philosophy, while working to improve lifestyle to achieve optimal success.

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced medical front office assistant to join our team The decision will be based on the candidates and skills. Located in the heart of East Sacramento, we offer a family environment, with competitive wages, benefits, and a team truly dedicated to improving the health of our patients. Our clients are prestigious members of the community and discretion is required. Our patients are like family to us, with a goal of lifelong care. Concierge medicine necessitates a desire to bring treatment to a higher level, but with the luxury of decreased patient load. We will maintain less than 450 patients with an average day of about 6 patients.

FRONT OFFICE ASSISTANT DESCRIPTION AND DUTIES

Opening Office Procedures:

 First thing you do when you walk in the door is sign in to charm
 Check phone messages and distribute as needed
 Download faxes and distribute to appropriate staff members
 Faxes that contain prior authorization approval for medications must be scanned into charm
immediately and faxed to patients’ pharmacy
 Confirm that all lab, x-ray, specialist results are downloaded in charm for today’s patient load
 Review Quick Notes and Alerts for today’s patients

Closing Office Procedures:

 Prepare patients accounts for next day; make sure results are in charm, call patient to
remind them of appointment if necessary
 Ensure that Lock box is ready and placed on door if there are specimens to be picked up
 Email list of all new patients to biller

Checking In Patients:

 Check if patient has a Balance Due
 Check if there is an Alert that needs to be addressed
 Always ask if there are any changes to patients’ demographic or insurance information
 Middle initial is required for insurance authorization, so check to make sure it’s in charm on
all old and new patients
 Confirm with client that current email address in charm
 Review Quick Notes and address any notes
 Change appointment status to “checked in” on schedule
 Inform appropriate staff that patient has checked in
o If patient is a New Patient or Meet and Greet; give new patient packet to fill out, run
any payment due, REVIEW all forms to make sure all information is filled out and
signed
o Collect Drivers License and Insurance Card and copy for charm
o Scan all documents into charm
o Enter new patient information into charm

Check Out Patients:

 Review Drip for payment collection on IV appointments and nursing visits
 Create encounter in Charm or make sure that provider has done so
 Collect any payments due from patients, IV patients must pay before leaving office
 Make necessary follow-up appointments

Daily Duties Throughout Workday:

 Answering Multiple Phone Lines
 Messages to be checked and worked every 30 minutes

 Collecting yearly/monthly payments, copy to patients document and task biller that
payments are reading to post
 Making appointments
 Assisting patient needs
 Assisting other staff as needed
 Copy checks that come in for payment of services and scan into charm
 Make sure patients have returned contracts, etc. and they are scanned into charm
 Every Friday, a list of New Patients for the week must be emailed to biller
 Following up on Meet Greet Patients
 Other Miscellaneous Duties as needed
