Open Enrollment Representative- Group Benefits

TEMP through end of 2025. Looking for at least 2 years of recent GROUP Benefits open enrollment experience. Must be able to commit to entire project and not need anytime off between September 2024-Jan. 2024. Full time hours, M-F. Schedules will vary, 7-7PM.
Start date for training class Wednesday, Sept 4. Second class will begin Tuesday, September 24.
3 weeks of training.
Pay Rates
$21/hour for English
$23/hour for Bilingual (Spanish or French)
The Benefits Specialist is responsible for supporting the Employee Services Team and utilizing the Workday, case management, knowledgebase and contact center technologies and processes. Service teams functional areas of support: Benefit Administration, Help Desk and/or Workforce Administration.
Essential Functions/Duties/Responsibilities
- Provides professional and timely service to internal and external customers
- Processes benefit-related changes such as life-status changes, address changes, etc.
- Resolves benefit administration service issues with internal staff and outside Vendors
- Counsels employees regarding benefit programs including plan features, procedures, eligibility, and premium information
- Performs monthly reconciliation of Carrier invoices to report to customers

- Must be willing to adapt and display positive attitude
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Must value and promote team spirit, have outstanding interpersonal skill set; exhibit professionalism within the workplace
- Maintain punctuality and adherence to set schedule with extra hours as needed
- Must be able to cope in fast-paced, demanding environment and manage sensitive, confidential issues.

- 2-5 years of related group benefits experience and/or training
- Customer Service experience a must
- Must have knowledge of group life and health; knowledge of federal regulations such as Section 125, ERISA and COBRA
- Must be able to cope in fast-paced, demanding environment and manage sensitive, confidential issues.
- Professional communication skills
- Proficient PC Skills (Microsoft Office, Outlook, HRIS, etc…)
- Preferred Skills
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Bi-lingual in Spanish or French
