This Eastern North Carolina area franchise dealership has an immediate opening for a Dynamic Service Manager to join our world-class service team. Must have GM Dealership Service Department experience. Join our Service Department that is poised for EXPLOSIVE GROWTH
Must be able to manage multiple Technicians, Service Writers and work with the Parts Department. Must be able to greet customers with a smile and be able to translate customer-reported problems to actionable work orders for technicians to complete, as well as explain completed services to the customer. We are a family-oriented business looking for a team player.
Job Responsibilities:
- Works with Service Writers and Technicians to identify required maintenance.
- Advises customers on necessary and recommended services.
- Motivating, Coaching, and Leading a dynamic and high-performing service selling and technical team
- Keeps abreast of new products, features, accessories and attend product training as required.
- Hiring and supervising all service department personnel, as well as monitoring their performance in servicing customers
- Ensure that proper service sales techniques are being used
- Offers additional services and repairs to customers.
- Computes the cost of replacement parts and labor to restore the vehicle to the condition specified by the customer.
- Must have warranty work completed, submitted & paid in a timely manner
- Meets dealership’s standards for repair and order production.
- Maintains CSI at or above Company standards by handling customer complaints immediately and appropriately
- Maintain accurate records and ensure warranty parts retention as outlined, following all manufacturer requirements as outlined in manufacturer and company policy and procedures manuals
- Maintains an organized, clean, and safe work area
- Participates in required training
- Oversee and record all hours worked accurately in the company timekeeping system
- Follows Safeguards rules and regulations.
- Observe all Federal, State, Local, and Company safety rules and regulations in performing duties.
- Other duties as assigned
Job Qualifications:
- A minimum of 4 years as a Service Manager at a dealership
- Strong focus on providing superior customer service
- Strong POS computer and Internet skills
- Team building skills
- Driver’s License
- Background Screening
Must have prior experience in a GM Dealership Service Department
