Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Maintenance Supervisor to join our team in DeKalb, IL. This role is essential to ensure our maintenance operations run smoothly and efficiently. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, hands-on industrial maintenance experience, and the ability to manage both team and administrative responsibilities effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and lead a team of maintenance staff, ensuring high performance and adherence to safety standards.
  • Handle administrative tasks including attendance reporting, time sheets, payroll, tracking and reporting downtime, and disciplinary issues.
  • Support and coach maintenance employees, especially in a unionized environment.
  • Maintain and repair heavy industrial machinery.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure maintenance needs are met without disrupting production schedules.
  • Utilize computer software (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams) for reporting and communication.

Qualifications:

Must Have:

  • High School Diploma required; Associate Degree preferred.
  • 1-2 years of supervisory experience in an industrial setting.
  • 5-7 years of hands-on industrial maintenance experience.
  • Proficiency with basic computer skills (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams).
  • Experience in maintenance work on heavy industrial machinery.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with hydraulics and pneumatics.
  • Union experience.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish).
  • Knowledge of D365 work order/PM planning software.
  • CNC knowledge/background.
