Position Summary

The role involves daily management of dispatching, load optimization, and route efficiency to ensure superior service delivery. This position serves as the primary liaison with clients, with a strong emphasis on compliance with DOT regulations and safety standards, overseeing preventative maintenance, KPI tracking, and payroll verification. Additionally, it includes coaching drivers to enhance retention.

Key Responsibilities

· Engage with clients and supervisory staff to resolve inquiries, issues, or equipment concerns.

· Supervise driver and personnel utilization to align services and schedules effectively.

· Provide coaching to drivers focusing on employee retention, customer satisfaction, safety awareness, and workers' compensation management.

· Organize and assign drivers to designated locations based on client requests and specifications, utilizing Qualcomm devices or telecommunication.

· Prepare and manage daily operational schedules.

· Inform personnel about traffic conditions, including construction, accidents, congestion, and weather-related hazards.

· Coordinate necessary repairs to maintain service and schedule integrity.

· Communicate essential information to drivers, including load details, advances, maintenance coordination, performance feedback, and safety protocols.

· Oversee a designated fleet of vehicles and drivers to ensure timely pickups and deliveries, compliance with service hours, and cost management.

· Ensure drivers are well-informed about client and company expectations.

· Maintain daily records of all assigned vehicles and drivers.

· Interact regularly with drivers and operational staff through Qualcomm, phone, and in-person communications.

· Recommend disciplinary actions, terminations, and hiring decisions as necessary.

· Ensure compliance with DOT regulations while coordinating service and schedules.

· Manage the dispatching of drivers to appropriate locations based on client needs, maintaining high service levels and tracking capabilities.

· Foster strong relationships with clients through regular meetings and personal interactions.

· Ensure accuracy and completion of driver logs.

· Supervise the scheduling of vehicle maintenance.

· Maintain and present KPIs to both internal teams and clients.

· Document and manage records of client requests, services performed, charges, expenses, and driver conduct.

· Ensure timely and accurate payroll processing for employees.

· Develop and implement backhaul strategies in line with account requirements.

· Uphold company policies regarding fatigue management, cell phone usage, and timely reporting of incidents.

· Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

· Bachelor's degree is highly preferred.

· Minimum of 10 years in the transportation sector.

· At least 5 years of experience in talent development for managerial roles.

· A minimum of 5 years managing profit and loss responsibilities.

· Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

· Strong skills in relationship building.

· Excellent organizational and planning abilities.

· Strong customer service focus.

· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
