The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for leading, directing, and providing the necessary resources to effectively manage maintenance operations. This role oversees the Maintenance Technician team, ensuring that reactive tasks align with planned maintenance activities.
Collaboration is key, as the Maintenance Supervisor works closely with the Maintenance Planner, Engineering, Production Supervisors, and external contractors. This position requires a strong partnership with the Maintenance Coordinator, Production Supervisors, accounting personnel, and other relevant stakeholders.
To qualify, candidates should possess three to five years of experience as a maintenance technician or planner, along with five to seven years in Mechanical or Electrical & Instrumentation Maintenance within a manufacturing setting. A minimum of an associate degree in mechanical or electrical engineering, or equivalent training and experience, is required, while a bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Achieve immediate and short-term maintenance objectives.
- Demonstrate extensive knowledge of maintenance practices, continuous improvement, and predictive/preventive maintenance programs.
- Supervise a team of technicians, offering technical guidance, support, and leadership in daily assignments.
- Mentor and inspire technicians and other team members.
- Provide training and development opportunities.
- Assign work orders and ensure timely completion of repairs, maintaining equipment to OEM specifications and industry standards.
- Ensure all Conditional Based Monitoring, Preventive Maintenance, and Predictive Maintenance tasks are completed as scheduled, with proper documentation and communication.
- Conduct lockout/tagout certifications on equipment.
- Provide performance feedback to the team, recognizing achievements and addressing any issues.
- Ensure accurate completion of paperwork and documentation by the maintenance team.
- Prioritize safety by conducting regular safety checks.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and special projects.
- Verify the accuracy of repair work.
- Engage in cross-training within the department.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:
- Associate degree in mechanical or electrical pre-engineering or relevant training and experience.
- 1-2+ years of supervisory maintenance experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.
- 5-7+ years of experience in a manufacturing maintenance role.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the operation, preventive maintenance, and repair of a diverse range of equipment.
