Position Title: PERSONAL LINES DEPARTMENT MANAGER
Reports to: President
Primary Functions: To be responsible for all functions performed in the Personal Lines Department and to ensure that
the department is providing prompt, accurate and courteous service to insured.

Supporting Functions:

 Handling daily downloads first thing in the morning.
 To be responsible for the quality of work produced in the department.
 Quickly sending Auto ID cards and handling mortgagee requests.
 Monitor and update production report in timely manner.
 Process Personal Lines incoming email, mail, fax and voice messages
 Handle basic billing questions (where to pay, who to pay, what to pay)
 Relentlessly work to update contact information on each and every call.
 Document all conversations and interactions with customers and carriers
 Answer Personal Lines phone calls, and diligently screen the calls to handle any service tasks that are indicated in this job description.
 Correctly interpret and analyze Personal Lines insurance policies, cancellations, reinstatements, endorsements, reports, and other insurance-related documents to make data driven decisions.
 Clearly and effectively communicate to the clients to manage expectations both via the phone and email. This includes taking a proactive approach.
 Proactively learn and grow knowledge of insurance coverage and carrier appetites
 Present existing and prospective customers with individualized policy options, quote calculations, and educational materials to meet their needs
 Review insurance policies for accuracy, coverage, and limits in order to recommend modifications, as needed.
 Deliver a high level of customer service when resolving billing, policy change, coverage, and claims issues.
 Keep accurate personal information for all sales prospects and customers within insurance company database.

 To ensure that the department work load is completed during the week it is received.
 Responsible for the implementation of all personal lines programs to include day-to-day relationship with personal lines insurance companies.
 To be responsible for the training of all new employees in the department.
 To communicate all new systems, procedures and insurance company regulations to the department.
 Reconcile Monthly Commission statements from Carriers by 15th of the month.
 Perform the duties of a sales representative as needed
 To adhere to agency attendance policy.
 Other responsibilities as directed by your manager.

 

MUST HAVE PROPERTY AND CASUALTY INSURANCE LICENSE, Preferred Independent Agency Experience (3-5 years).
