Hello, my name is Thomas Gillitzer and I am a Recruiter with The Fountain Group. We are a national staffing firm and are currently seeking an Import/Export Specialist for a prominent client of ours. Details for the position are as follows:

 

Job Description:

  • Process import/export trade compliance clearance of cross-border shipments in Global Trade Management system (Oracle module)
  • Provide import clearance instructions to broker by validating and preparing documentation subject to Customs, FDA and other government agencies
  • Point of contact for shipment processing with different business partners and respond to internal and external shipment inquires

Required:

  • Minimum 1-3 years of experience
  • Previous work experience and understanding of Trade Compliance (7501 for US, or equivalent in other countries)
  • Knowledge of record retention best practices for customs documentation (e.g., storage and organization of electronic records)
  • Understanding of HTS classification principles
  • Experience working with import/export operations in US and Europe is a plus
  • Experience with excel databases and ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP)
  • Previous experience working in a regulated industry (e.g., Food, Pharma, Medical devices, etc.) is a plus
  • 3 days remote, 2 days onsite per week.
